This luncheon plenary “The Collective Work of Funders and Nonprofits in Advancing Culture Change” is part of the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers Conference happening May 23, 2023 in Somerset, NJ. Registration is required.

The 2023 Spring Conference for the Social Sector: Doing Good Better will explore how funders and nonprofits can address philanthropy’s power imbalances, rethink traditional grantmaking practices to better serve New Jersey communities, and position equity as a driving force.

In this plenary session, Shaady Salehi, Executive Director of the Trust-Based Philanthropy Project will outline the underlying values of a trust-based approach, and how this ties into our collective responsibility in advancing a sector-wide culture wherein our work reflects the needs and dreams of communities.
