Truths and Misconceptions Behind Trust-Based Philanthropy

This in-person event is hosted by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation and Foundation For the Carolinas. Registration is required.

Misconceptions have the power to extinguish a movement, and in Charlotte we are hearing some rumblings that Trust-Based Philanthropy (TBP) lacks accountability and makes it difficult to measure outcomes and impact.

This event is designed to invite the audience to surface TBP misconceptions and doubts and then relies on a panel of funders and nonprofits to help tease out the nuances and illuminate the importance of TBP as a tool for true social impact.

Who Should Attend

Community members – particularly nonprofits, funders, and philanthropists; those who are familliar with TBP.
