Trust-based philanthropy: does it work? Launching the Global Impact Study

October 1, 2025, 7-8am PT / 10-11am ET

In its 30th year, Global Fund for Children conducted a rigorous global research project to investigate the impact of their work on partner organisations around the world and the children and communities they work with.

  • Is trust-based philanthropy worth the effort?

  • Is flexible funding as important as we think?

  • Is combining funding with tailored non-financial support really that impactful?

This webinar will share the findings for the first time with the sector, discussing GFC's philanthropic model and what other funders can learn from GFC’s experience. The webinar will involve a panel of researchers and representatives from the study and will be chaired by GFC’s co-CEO, John Hecklinger.

During the webinar, we'll be joined by:

  • Lilli Loveday - Research Director for GIS

  • Tyas Pusposari - GFC's Research & Learning Manager

  • Hariom Agarwal - Co-researcher for GIS

  • Selina Komers - Lead Researcher for GIS

  • John Hecklinger - GFC's Co-CEO
