  • I work with organizations to explore what they are becoming, reckon with strategic questions and tensions, move from plan-and-implement to test-and-learn approaches, navigate changes in their landscape, develop skills and practices that build sustainability, and create and communicate clarity about future direction.


Mark is a Senior Advisor with The Giving Practice at Philanthropy Northwest and has been a consultant to foundations, philanthropy associations, and other nonprofit organizations for more than two decades.

Mark provides consulting to clients in the areas of strategy, culture, governance, collaboration, communications, business modeling, and organizational learning. He helps clients make an impact in these areas through group facilitation, strategic planning, collaborative inquiry, research and development, and tool and visual design.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in government and a master’s degree in public policy, both from Harvard University.
